Introduction
VAO Energy Co. Ltd. (“VAO Energy”) (“The Company”) Initially called V.A. Energy Co., ltd is a private limited company registered and based in Thailand.
Incorporated in 2015 with a simple vision to become ASEANS largest player in waste to oil. The company enjoys prestigious privileges under BOI (Board of Investments. Thailand) and has an Oil Refinery and Processing License from Government of Thailand.
One of only a handful of fully permitted Waste to Oil plants in Thailand, VAO Energy has obtained all the necessary clearances and certificates to operate business in Thailand.
VAO Energy is one of its kind IOP (Independent Oil Producer) in Thailand which uses waste plastic as the raw material and produce high quality industry grade pyrolytic oil. The first oil production facility was installed and commissioned in Banga phli area outside Bangkok, Thailand in Feb 2018.
The company is looking to expand it’s business horizon by partnering with key industrial players in Thailand and other South-East Asian Countries.
Apart From VAO Energy’s expanding portfolio of Waste to Oil plants the company is active in pursing GEO Thermal Energy Potential in Thailand .

Meet the team
Mr. Vira Saikamala
Chairman
Chairman of VAO Energy Co., Ltd. is a serial entrepreneur who has over 45 years of experience in a combination of industries, such as textile, garment exports, real estate development, rice exporter, and renewable energy. Mr. Vira is a cofounder of VAO Energy.
Mr. Vira’s Brand of real estate developments under the Name Harmony Living has been established and are prominently located around Bangkok’s Central Business District.
Mr. Vira is based in Bangkok and a native speaker of both Thai and English, Hindi.
Avinash (Ashwin) Chugani
Managing Director of VAO Energy
Started his career by joining his family’s textile and jewelry trading business for over 10 years, growing turnover and was charged with developing new markets.
Mr. Avinash is a CO-founder of VAO Energy. He led a team of engineers to develop the first industrial-scale pyrolysis oil plant in Thailand, producing 3M liters of pyrolytic oil per year. Avinash graduated with a B.A. in economics from George Mason University and is an alumni of the International School of Bangkok.
Ashwin is based in Bangkok and a native speaker of both Thai and English.
MR. RAJESH DIALDAS SAIKAMALA
Executive Director
Executive Director of VAO Energy and Managing Director of the Families BB Group (Hong Kong), with over 25 years of extensive experience in import-export of garments.
He successfully trades across markets importing from China, Thailand, and primarily exporting to higher-margin export markets in the USA, Panama, Brazil, Chile and many other and South American countries.
Mr. Rajesh serves as a vital advisor and mentor to VAO Energy.
